Sound Healing: Alignment through the transformative power of vibration and resonance.

What Is Sound Therapy?

Individual Counseling

At Prismatic, we now offer sound healing sessions that weave ambient music, acoustic vibration, attentive presence, and energetic attunement into your holistic healing journey.

Through gently held resonance — via gong, singing bowls, shamanic drum, along with vocal toning, and even silence — we invite your body, nervous system, and psyche into deeper coherence. These sessions sit alongside our mindfulness, somatic, and harm-reduction practices as a bridge into deeper states of alignment and integration.

Sound therapy is not just sound for sound’s sake — it is a doorway. Within the musical field, shifts can happen in places that our rational mind or talk-based therapy cannot yet reach. We hold that the reverberations in your body can echo healing, shift stuckness, and invite subtle reorganization.

Tools We Use

  • Chinese Chau Gong (Tam-Tam Gong): Its broad, deep “wash” of frequencies supports a kind of clearing or decompression, dissolving tension and creating space.

  • Singing Bowls (crystal, metal, or combination): Focused tones, overtone harmonics, and timbral textures resonate in the body’s cavities, promoting centering and internal attunement.

  • Shamanic Drum / Frame Drum: Rhythmic vibration resonates through the body’s core. The steady pulse can anchor the nervous system, support grounding, and help release stored somatic patterns.

We may layer these instruments, modulate volume and intensity, shift between sustained tones and rhythmic passages, and intersperse silence or quiet listening. Occasionally we may include soft vocal toning, overtone singing, or breath-synchronized humming.

Structure & Flow (60 or 90 Minute Sessions)

  • Opening Grounding & Intention
A brief guided mindfulness practice, centering breath, body scanning, or gentle somatic awareness to transition in. This aligns with Prismatic’s foundation in mindfulness and somatic practice.

  • Sound Resonance Phase
The practitioner will gradually introduce instruments (gong, bowls, drum), attune volume, and listen to your state. You rest (lying or seated) while the field unfolds. The practitioner may modulate directionality (around, above, percussive, sustained) to meet your field’s needs.

  • Interludes of Silence & Integration
Between sound passages, moments of quiet allow your system to digest, shift, or reorganize. These pauses are as potent as sound — they give space for emerging imagery, emotion, or release.

  • Closing & Check-In
A gentle return through breath or movement, checking in verbally or via journal prompts. We often guide simple grounding or embodiment practices—something you can carry with you.

  • Optional Integration Support
We may suggest journaling prompts, somatic micro-practices, mindfulness anchors, or movement explorations afterward to help anchor what unfolded.
